Anyone know what the top left notification icon is? I can't figure out how to get rid of it... unrooted stock user

incoming call notification not showing. topic

Incoming call notification is not showing on the watch if there is a contact photo, nor does the watch vibrate.

The second time, if the call comes from the same caller, the notification will show. But this is really annoying as i always keep my phone in silent mode and rely on the watch to alert me for incoming calls.

Looks like the watch ignores the notification if the contact photo is not transferred ontime to the watch by bluetooth.. The second time, the call shows up as the contact photo is already cached.. that's my analysis..

Just wanted to check if this problem is with anyone else or just me.. please say if it is...

I am a java developer currently working on a android notification project. I am having a problem with what to keep as a unique key for my (3rd party) database after registering to GCM.
The registeration Id which GCM provides on registering the android device, often changes when we re-install the app. In order to avoid duplicacy in 3rd party database, what should we use as unique key in the database, so that using this field I can update the old registration Id with new registration Id whenever app is reinstalled.

Lollipop[5.0] Sound & Notification topic

On Kitkat, my volume button was controling the media volume without affecting the Ringone or notifications.

Not with Lollipop, my volume button controle Media sounds, but if I lower it down, it also lower my Ringtone... Is there a way to keep Ringtone volume to Max no matter what ?

Notification sound looping topic

When I receive a notification, the sound the phone makes to signify this plays continuously until I unlock the phone and pull down the status bar. I know that this has happened with both photo auto backup notifications and also YouTube notifications. As far as I know, hangouts did not have the same effect when I received an sms. My N6 bootloader is unlocked and my phone is rooted.

I would appreciate if anybody could give me a suggestion on how to get rid of this "Smartwatch 2 connected" notification tile which can't be dismissed. It's especially annoying now with Android 5 as it's always visible on the front screen. I have LG G3, but I don't think it relevant to phone model as the notification used to be visible on my Nexus 4 device too.

I have to use an iPhone during the holidays so I disconnected my watch from my Android phone and now it shows this little cloud in the middle of the watch face, telling me it is disconnected. Is there any way to turn this little notification cloud thingy off, because it really bothers me and ruins the watchface I have set up?

Notification counter in Android 5.0.1 topic

Hi there. I have one question. How to turn on some notification counter below some icons? When I receive a SMS, the Hangout icon don't have any counter about unread messages. The same is with Gmail icon. How can I change this ?

No sim card notification topic

I'm trying to determine if I need to take my phone in because of hardware or not. At least once a day I get a "no sim card, please insert sim card" notification. After a reboot it disappears. I'm on Metalrom, but it has happened on other rooms including stock. It's related to the systemui. Does anyone else experience this or have a solution?

just made a clean install of cm12 (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95857557620393430) and everytime i get a messag (Telegram or Whatsapp) and the screen is of the sound don´t stop until i activate the screen and klick on the massage!

How do I freeze the OTA application so I don't have the notification? topic

I'm on rooted 5.0 and got the 5.0.1 OTA notification. I'm planning to run Cyanogen once it becomes official and don't want to bother wiping data, flashing the stock recovery, etc.

What do I freeze in Titanium to stop the update notification? I searched but couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance!

I got a notification few days ago that 5.0.1 is now available for my Nexus 7 but when I finally decided to upgrade, the notification was gone and checking system updates show that my system is up-to-date. Anyone know how I can get it back? I don't want to use the zip file and sideloading. My device is a bit complicated because I have Multirom and Ubunut Touch.

I'm using google messenger as my default sms app and no matter what notification sound i set for sms's in the messenger app itself it won't use, it keeps defaulting to the default notification sound in the phone's sound and notification settings, anyone else experience this ?

How would I remove the system Update notification for 5.0.1? I rooted and unlocked and don't want to update at this time.

Notification on watch when disconnected from phone topic

I've used Tasker to alert and lock my phone when my Moto360 is not connected, and unlock it when it is. What I also want to do is display a message and vibrate on the watch when the connection to the phone is lost. I know there's an app to do this, and I'll go that route as a last resort if I have to. I have a GS4 so no Trusted Devices option like on some of the Motorola phones. Is what I want possible with Tasker or something similar?

I've tried checking the box "do not remind me about this update " and restarting several times.

I do not wish to update, in case a root method comes out for the old fw version.

I installed flash alert 2 app to get camera flash notification for incoming calls ...bt it didnt work for calls .it only worked for sms ..i installed several other apps to get camerflash notifiaction for calls bt none worked ...what is the prob ..plz help me
