[Q] root a sprint note 2 topic

ok i know it may be some threads already bout rooting sprint note 2 so my question is which roms are better also how do i keep the update icon popping up on screen the phone is not rooted but my last phone done its annoying to see that keeps popping up happy new and thanks any help info
