Contacts sync topic

Hey guys, so in previous devices I got used to the contact sync over Google but here I just can't figure it out how to save contacts over Google. Even when I save contact and click sync sometimes contacts still not appear. Don't know what to do

Restoring Titanium Contacts topic

Had 4.4.2 Sense 6, flashed GPE 5.0. My question is, how do I restore my contacts? The Sense ROM used HTC People App.. the GPE uses Contacts.

Also, in Titanium restore for People there is a line through the backup? What does that mean? And when I touch it I get options to restore the App or App and Data, no option to restore only data.

Duplicate contacts from multiple accounts topic

Hi all, I have a Nexus 6 with Android 5 (Lollipop) and I am using the standard app for phone (dialer) and contact list.

The contact list includes contacts from several accounts, such as Gmail, Exchange, Skype and LinkedIn.

The contact list can be configured to only display contacts from one given source or just some of them. The dialer always displays all of the sources, ignoring the contact list settings.

The problem, and my question, is why my contacts are duplicated in the contact list (and the dialer contact list)?

If I have "John Doe" in Gmail, Skype and LinkedIn - then I have three John Does in the list. To be clear: I do not have duplicates within each source (e.g. Gmail).

Any tips?

[Q] Stolen Optimus 4x HD - Need help with LG PC suite to restore my contacts topic

Maybe somebody can help me!

My Optimus 4X HD was stolen this week.:eek: After a few thoughts, I've realized that I don't want to hunt for another phone on such a short notice, so I've bought a similar one, and will decide later, if I want to have a better one. :p
Of course I thought, that by having the same type phone, my LG PC Suite will be able to restore at least my contacts, as I was making backups regularly on it. But that's not the case, and the PC Suite can't find any previous backups, after I plug in my newest Optimus. Anyone could advise if it's possible to somehow restore my backup of my previous Optimus on the new one in any way from the LG PC Suite?:confused:

Lollipop dialer and contacts app topic

Has someone successfully ported the lollipop dialer and contacts app to LG G3 stock rom ? i love all the CM 12 roms but i hate the camera app... so im stuck on stock based roms.
Even if LG updated to lollipop... their design is still stuck on kitkat looks... the lockscreen , dialer , contacts app on AOSP look so much nicer than our stock apps

[Q] How to disable email synchro but keep contacts / calendar synchro enabled topic

Hi,

I'd like to have a button that would enable / disable GMAIL synchronization only. All other synchro I'd like to have always enabled.

Now in 4.4.4 I have button that enables / disables all synchro.

I know that I can edit account synchro and uncheck gmail synchro - I would prefer something more effective such simple button.

Do you guys now how can I achieve that?

I'm currently on 4.4.4, CM nightly, using xposed, rooted.

[Q] Lost all contacts randomly in Paranoid Android topic

I recently installed Paranoid Android ROM on my LG G2 (VS980). After signing in to google etc. all of my contacts from my old ROM were transferred over smoothly. I had several texting conversations with people from my contacts (and the conversations I had with them are still shown in hangouts complete with their name and number). However, today I opened up my phone and attempted to text someone, when I realized that all of my contacts but about 10 random people were gone. I've restarted my phone, re-synced my Google account, etc. and still nothing. Has anyone else encountered this issue? This is really an awful situation. It will take absolutely ages to re-retrieve the phone numbers of every human being I know if I can't get these back.

Blurry images on contacts topic

Im facing a strange issue regarding the sync images from Facebook to the contact list of my z.
The sync is done but for some odd reason the pictures that I get in the contacts are all blurry.

Any way to fix this? Thanks

[Q] New Contacts are not saved into "My contacts" group topic

When you add a new contact in your Google Contacts through the web browser the contact is automatically added, by default, to the My contacts group.

The behavior was the same also on all smartphones I owned, including an LG Optimus One P500: whenever I added a new contact on the phone it was automatically added to the My contacts group.

This is a desired behavior because it lets you distinguish and clearly separate the contacts which you add, from the contacts which Gmail automatically adds to your contacts, in a special group called Other Contacts whenever you exchange some message with them.

This unfortunately doesn't happen with my LG G2 with the stock ROM: when I create a new contact on the phone, and choose to sync with my Google account, the contact is not automatically added to the My Contacts group but, quite confusingly, it is automatically added to the Other Contacts group. What's even worse, there seems to be no way to even manually add the new contact to the My Contacts group.

I think this is a major problem and I find it surprising no one has noticed it before. Am I missing something maybe?

If this is confirmed, how can I fix it? Is there a workaround to solve it?

Nexus5 Lollipop contacts delimma topic

Updated my Nexus5 to Lollipop finally. But got an issue with the contact list, as it automatically synced to all my accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Vibre, ......, so contact list got bloated with lots of double contacts instead of merging them together. Up to 5 entries for each person. Deleting them or merging them manually could take ages. Any idea how to manage that?? Already tried double contacts app. But this won't work as numbers are not doubled, just names
