HTC One M8 bricked topic

Hi, a friend as a joke decided to go into TWRP and do an advanced wipe and ticked every single partition and wiped my phone.

Now there is no OS/USB port etc and when i turn my phone on normally it gets onto the HTC bootup screen but is stuck so I'm unable to turn it off until the battery runs out, however, im still able to enter TWRP which is running v2.7.0.2.

I live in Australia and am with Optus, how can i re-install my OS? IDM if it's still rooted or it's back to factory state.

So After that I tried the how to from post 25# with twrp and After Point 3 my Device doesnt Start anymore :( I was waiting 25minutes but nothing Happens and ADB Shell Sayd no device found.
Have I to throw my device into the trash?

hi there. I have somehow managed to brick my fire tv that had rbox cwm mod on it. I have tried numerous times to repair it using the alt-printscreen-i method without any luck other than the unit rebooting to indicate keyboard is recognised. I just get a constant white amazon logo on boot up. This is a u.s purchased fire tv that I own in the uk. was just curious to see if anyone of you clever folk out there would like to take a look at the unit and see if it can be recovered for me before I throw it out :(
am willing to post with the idea if it can be fixed I'd obviously pre-pay for return postage.

I don't know much more about it (e.g. I don't know if it was rooted or what type of ROM was on it).

I need to unplug the battery by removing the back cover to have a chance to reboot it. The first boot after that it shows the LG logo, then a blank screen (back lit but no text).
(UPDATE: Pressing the power button 8 seconds also reboots the phone without having to unplug the battery).

Is there anything that could be done to fix these Buffer I/O errors so I can mount the phone (and continue with the FIX tutorial posted above)?

Anyone able to shed some lights on the meaning of these lines would be of great help in my quest of learning how to unbrick my phone.

Note: when connected to the computer the blank screen goes in a repeating cycle of being back lit for 1 second then no backlights for 1 second. The cycle stops (with backlights) when unplugging the phone.

Bricked Tab 2 7.0 3113 topic

I bought a used Stock Tab 2 7.0 P3113 for my kids to play Minecraft on and keep them off of my tablet. Turned it on at time of purchase and the tablet worked fine, I charged it up for the kids and left it in the box for a few days. When I grabbed it again it looked like the battery was already dead, after charging it and turning it on I only got a black screen after the Tab 2 logo. I followed the steps on http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1722745 to restore stock rom after reading that fixed this problem for others. Only problem is the link to his stock rom and pit file is broke. I used the pit file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2552155 and found the stock rom from a share site that had the same file name that was linked to in the instructions without the pit file. Tried installing rom without re-partitioning and still had a black screen. Tried with partition and now I am stuck in a boot loop with the Tap2 logo. Also I can no longer get into recovery, but can get into download mode. Any help would be much appreciated or this thing has a date with a sledge hammer tonight. Thanks.

I was just doing the process to flash the pre rooted update, I used the AFTV Utility.

The steps:

1 - Unlocked bootlader OK
2 - Changed the bootloader OK
3 - Change recovery PROBLEM

After I changed the recovery, it restarted and now hangs at white logo in startup. Tried the print screen/sys but nothing happened, the funny thing it's that it seems not to be powering USB connection since the keyboard just doesn't even light up or any of the leds when connected (like the num lock led).

LG Optimus 3D P920 Completely Bricked. topic

Good evening all, My last hopes stands here guys. I have an LG Optimus 3D p920, which is completely bricked. I can't access download mode anymore, actually there is no signs of life on the phone. I searched alot on google and found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1942836 . I successfully installed all drivers (Changing port to 41, ETC...), and can enter Download, and fastboot mode Using OmapBoot, and OS_Hacking.
When it comes to lgflashtool, I select the BOOTV21E_AP.bin and the LGP920_110622.dll, and selecting port 1 and 10, And start. It says ready, I enter download mode using the omapBoot, And it starts. The log looks good till It reaches to:set capabilities to be used, Baudrate Change: 115200bps ===> 3000000, set flash id error, Error WM_PROGRESS_MSG, Error WM_PROGRESS_MSG, FAIL. I tried smartflash, same. I used os_Hacking [All-In-One][P920].bat, When I try flashing anything from the list, it gives me the following error: failed (remote partition does not exist) . Please Help, and thank you for your time.

Mam Asus TF 300TG.
Bootloader odblokowany.

Miałem CWM zmieniałem na TWRP i coś się nie powiodło.

Po restarcie startuje tylko TWRP, nie mogą wejść w FCK (nie działa vol down)
TWRP jednak nie widzi żadnych pamięci sd, minisd, żadych wewnętrznych, nie potrafi zrobić mounta.
Nie mogę użyc fastboota ani ADB bo one nie widzą urządzenia.
Mogę wejść w tryb APX, windows rozpoznaje jako transformer APX mode. Sterownik naked driver mam zainstalowany.
Próbowałem użyć EasyFlasher, ale nie powiodło się

Pytania
- może w TWRP mogę wejść w tryb widoczny dla fastboota, adb?
- jak użyć nvflasha, wheelie ? jakie parametry, pliki
- co mogę zrobić innego?

Poświęciłem już wiele godzin, nic się nie powiodło.
Nie mam pomysłu.

GT-S6310N bricked during root? topic

Hi,

I was following the instructions at rootmyandroid dot org/how-to-root-unroot-samsung-galaxy-young.html (sorry the forum won't allow me to post a direct link) to root my GT-S6310N, specifically the part after "rooting the GT-S6310N". The rest of the article talks about just S6310 without the "N", so I thought that'd be the instructions I should follow. Above it it also says "Only For Samsung Galaxy Young S6301 Owners", so it might have been the wrong process after all..?

Regardless, as per the instructions, I installed Odin 3.07, booted into Download Mode, ran Odin, and it reported a success (see attached screenshot). The device then booted as normal on its own, and when done, I did a normal shutdown, and booted into Recovery Mode. At this point I realized I don't have a microSD card in the device for the "UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.41.zip" file, so I selected "reboot" and the device again booted normally.

At this point I opened up the plastic back cover of the phone, and to my dismay, the battery fell out. I didn't think anything of it, and proceeded to look for a microSD card I could use. I didn't in fact find one, so I thought I'd boot the device up and figure out something else. But after carefully placing the battery and back cover back on, the device won't power up anymore. It won't vibrate, the display doesn't come on, nothing. If I plug it into a power outlet it doesn't show any signs of life. None of the Download/Recovery mode key combos work, either. Odin doesn't react to the device being plugged in in any way.

I guess I'm already willing to accept I managed to brick the device, but since I've successfully rooted 3 or 4 ones before, I'd like to at least understand what I did wrong. I've been under the impression that while many things can (and will) go wrong during rooting/CWM installation, most situations are recoverable (I've gotten devices e.g. stuck to a boot loop before).

At first I was convinced there must have been some physical damage done to the phone/battery when I opened the back cover, but after a careful inspection I can't see anything wrong with it. I've tried putting it back together at least 5 times. Also it should be noted that the battery fell out onto a soft couch, so I'm pretty sure it's not damaged in any way.

Any pointers welcome as to what went wrong and/or something I could still try. :/

Soft Bricked Xolo Q1000 after flashing with SP Flash tool topic

My phone refuses to boot after I flashed stock Rom through SP Flash Tool. I didn't get any error during flashing. but as soon as I powered on the device I could see nothing but a black screen with hazy lines, after few seconds or so phone is getting restart.

I have tried different Roms and versions of SP Flash tool but with no success.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 (soft bricked) topic

Last night my note 2 restarted by itself and got stuck on the Samsung logo. ive flashed a new firmware with Odin and it succeed.
now when i want to go to recovery mode it shows the teamwin.img and thats it... it wont go to the recovery mode. ive flashed a new recovery package/rom and it shows succeed as well but still cant go to recovery mode. only teamwin logo.

Motorola Razr Maxx XT910, cant load OS, I think its bricked topic

I feel sad that I wasnt here earlier, maybe I woudnt brick my phone... Anyway here is the problem...
I was trying to root my Motorola Razr Maxx XT910, runing on Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.982.124.14.XT910.Retail.en.EU
I went tru few guides, anyway all of them went me nowhere... I found out that the problem is in locked boot, but idk why no1 said it in all those tutorials.. I decided to give up, and I used RSD lite 6.0 to put again my current OS.
Now my Motorola is stucked on loading screen... I tried with Recovery to wipe Cash and delete data... But nothing help, Its still stucked on loading screen. Please tell me what should I do?

CAT B15Q firmware update bricked device topic

Hello all,

yesterday's OTA firmware update to my CAT B15Q (CPU MediaTek MT6582M) showed an error similar to "failed to update metadata symlink" and offered me to reboot... since then the device is stuck in a bootloop and only boots recovery and fastboot.

The recovery console doesn't offer any USB devices, except when choosing "apply update from ADB", upon which adb devices lists it as "0123456789ABCDEF sideload". adb shell however does not work, it gives an "error: closed" message.

Resetting to factory did not help either, current Android version of the device was 4.4.2.

By the looks, the failed update bricked the /system somehow; can I sideload a version of adb onto the recovery to gain shell access?

Now when I try to power up device I get:

I went through many forums and fount few solutions, BUT basically all solutions require download right stock ROM and try to flash phone using RDS lite or EternityProject Flash-IT. And this is biggest problem-
sbf.droid-developers is down;
eternityproject is down too and ALL discussions point to these pages for downloads (it seems that everybody thought that these pages would work forever) there are NO mirrors or alternatives.

So basically I am in the dead end.
Perhaps somebody knows alternative download sites or can share needed files???
