Has anyone got this to work when i try and play something just exits to home screen anyone else got to stream?

[Q] Fire TV, XBMC & Power TV topic

Hi all, i got my Fire TV last week, i love it :P

But, i have installed XMBC (Gotham 13.2 actually) and the Plugin TEKOSMAN POWERTV, it doesn't seem to work .......
It's installed bot when i click it nothing happens .....

The same i habe with the Rom Collection Browser, i set it uo for Mupen64 to play some N64 Roms, mupen standalone works well, wgen i
use Rom Collection Browser i see the Rom, wenn i select it a tiny Text displays that it is starting, nothing more ....

Any suggestions for this, especially for PowerTV?

Trouble sideloading XBMC to Fire Stick topic

Hello all. I'm trying to install xbmc to a fire tv stick. I have successfully done this with a fire tv. I don't know what's going on with the stick.

I can connect to the stick in the adbfire app and I can ping the stick via the command prompt.

I keep getting this error in the command prompt :

*daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
*daemon started successfully *
error : device not found
- waiting for device -

Any ideas?

Easiest method for copying XBMC setup on fire tv to fire tv stick? topic

Hello all,

I have been working on my setup on the fire tv device for some time. I have XBMC customized and configured for my sources/shares and chosen add-ons. I just received my fire tv stick and would like to basically copy the setup to the stick.

For some reason I was never able to get the apps like adbFire to work when I tried Backup XBMC / Restore XBMC (now Kodi) so I was wondering what the easiest way to mirror the setup would be? Is there a config file that i could copy from an install on one device to an install on the other that would setup everything? I am thinking that would probably be "too easy" but it might work for the shares/sources.

XBMC Large files topic

XBMC sideloaded and trying to play a 10 GB MKV (1080p + DTS) which stutters very much.
Same MKV reduced to 5 minutes playback, but same codecs, resolution, audio. Only difference is the size: 200MB. This one plays very smooth.

USB 3.0 plugged into my router and FT connected directly to my router.

Anyone who knows what the problem is?

(Netflix 1080p does play smooth, though.)
