I have installed CyanogenMod on my xperia SP but I experience frequent hangs. After long perios of waiting the device functions again but it's often unusable. Is there anyone else experiencing the same problem? Is there any other good ROMthat is fully functional. Paranoid? PacMan? I was wondering if it is possible to install a Nexus ROM that will receive constant updates from google itself, is it possible?

[Q] MMS/APN Issues with CyanogenMod 11 topic
So ever since I did a wipe and flash last week of the CyanogenMod 11 nightly, I haven't been able to send/receive MMS messages. If someone sends me something, I'll get a message saying that they sent me something but it cannot be downloaded. From what I could tell, it could be my APN settings. I've tried a bunch of different things, the main two being what's shown on this webpage, and the following (default) settings:
Name: Verizon Internet
APN: VZWINTERNET
MCC: 311
MNC: 480
APN Type: default,dun,supl
APN protocol:: IPv4/IPv6
APN roaming protocol:: IPv4/IPv6
Now sometimes MMS will work, but take FOREVER to download. Other times, it just doesn't download. This is becoming really frustrating since I use group messages a lot to keep in touch with distant friends.
Could someone be able to help me out and tell me what I'm missing? This is becoming a huge inconvenience. Any help would be much appreciated!

cyanogenmod 11 microphone issue topic
Hello there
I installed cm-11-20141224-NIGHTLY-i9305.zip for my gt-i9305 (s3 lte). Now my inbuild and headphone microphones arent working anymore. There is always a really loud static noise after some seconds of working. I read bout this problem but couldnt find a fix. Is there any fix for that?

[Q] CYANOGENMOD support..for how long? topic
when they introduced the OPO, I dont remember where it was said, but it was noted the support for CM would be for two years. I could install android vanilla but Id rather not tinker with the phone. so wondering about that.
I havent purchased the phone as they are back to the stupid invite after having a free to the public open purchase they had two weeks ago. this isnt exactly such an enticing phone as it was.
I think the phone is becoming a dinasour a bit and no longer the great deal it was as phones are already pushing QHD. im considering waiting a bit more or getting some other Chinese mfr phone for about the same price. not oppo or OPO though.
what chinese phones are alternatives to the OPO with specs and price?
hows the meizu MX4 PRO?

[Q] When can we expect official CyanogenMod 12 builds? topic
Rumors were end of november / early december. Its 24th december and CM blog wasn't updated one and half month! Are devs preparing buildbot for CM12? Any idea when can we expect CM12 builds on download.cyanogenmod.org ? At least Nexus devices, there are source tree and all needed libs for them.
S5 Touchwiz + Cyanogenmod based Standby time tests. topic
Today I was testing the standby time for two different roms, The cm11 rom and the Xtestolite rom.
Here were my results
cm11: 8 hours standby : 77-71 percent overnight : -6% (No wifi, No mobile data, No nfc, No bluetooth, No sync, However not in airplane mode)
(Touchwiz)Xtestolite: 9 hours standby 77-76% Overnight -1% (No wifi No mobile data, No nfc, No bluetooth, No sync, However not in airplane mode)
(Touchwiz)Xtestolite: 8 hours standby 89-86% Overnight: -3% (Everything disabled. However 3g was enabled throughout the entire night)
The reason I did these tests were because standby battery life is important for me. But I love cm11 and aosp based roms. And was wondering why cm11 has more of a drain than touchwiz based roms? It's weird tbh. If someone can explain I'd be really grateful.
(Please note on cm11 I used app opps to disable wake for google services. So that isn't the problem for -6% drain whilst doing nothing at all.) What causes drain overnight? The oneplus one has amazing standby time and it runs off of cm11. Would really appreciate a response.

[ROM][D850] CyanogenMod 12 UNOFFICIAL Nightly [Android 5.0 Lollipop] topic
This is only a test build. I do not have D852 so not even sure if it will boot. I am the CM12 device maintainer for D850 so thought I would make this for the D852 users.
Only install this if you have the knowledge that you know you will need GApps, know how to and did make a backup and know how to recover your phone from worst possible scenario.
Only info I need right now is that the ROM boots and all major hardware functions are working. If things go well I will continue building for D852 but I swore off building for devices I do not have so we shall see how it goes...
If I get positive feedback I'll fix up this post that is more CM like....

[ROM] CyanogenMod 12.0 for Evita [Unofficial][5.0.1] topic
Hi All-
I've built CyanogenMod 12 from source for the HTC One XL.
Nothing has been modified, and the only thing required to get it to work was some trickery with the proprietary blobs.
Most everything seems to be working properly!
There are some app glitches I've seen (particularly video playback), but I'm guessing it's not specific to this device.
Some of the video problems can be solved by disabling the NuPlayer in the Developer options.

Tested working:
Mobile network
Wifi
Camera
Bluetooth
GPS
Play Store, google apps, etc.
I'm running HBOOT 2.18, s-off, TWRP 2.8.1.0; so I'd recommend you do the same :)
Steps:
I'll be making more builds as time goes on, until we get official support.
Have fun and let me know if anything goes wrong!
A note about md5sums:
I don't know why people don't seem to recommend doing this, but TWRP will automatically check md5 hashes for you.
Just include the .md5sum file in the same folder as the .zip file.
I've had corrupted downloads/transfers before, and they're easy to avoid.
