[Q] L vs kk... :/ topic

Hi guys now i know this may look like a pretty newb thread but i had problems wit l. Main one was 5.0 each time i rebootes my saved setting prefrences and apps would be reset like they just be newly instaled. But its been a long time now and 501 is released. My question is as a cm11 user i dont really like stock. Now my question hw much superior is l over kk? Is there at all difference apart from the new layout?
