I just got a used Tablet Z and I'd like to start customizing it to my needs. In order to do that I need to unlock my Bootloader. In order to unlock I need a backup of the TA partition (just like i did on my Z1) . The problem is I'm on stock 4.4.4 with no root. I saw the thread about rooting 4.4.4 but I really don't think I have to go through all those steps because i want to unlock my bootloader anyway (it's easy rooting with UB).
The other thing that confuses me is the customization number (or something like that). Do I have to flash FTF with the same customization number? What happens if I flash a wrong one?
PS! My customization is Generic BAL (don't remember the number itself by heart - BAL stands for Baltic)
Edit: What exactly will i lose if my DRM keys are lost? (Most important thing on my Z1 was BIONZ image processing)
