Anyone else have issues with there latch opening anytime you bump your palm on something? Clapping for example will open it sometimes.

[Q] Screen flicker poll G Watch R. topic
Hi,
I've started this poll for ALL owners of the LG G Watch R.
The question is: does your G Watch R flicker after charging it to full 100% when you take it off the charger?

[Hack?] Control your PC from your watch topic
Here is the link to the full howto: http://wolfebaine.blogspot.com/2014/...roid-wear.html
So I'm now the proud owner of an LG G Watch. After reading all the flame wars on whether Android Wear was the greatest thing since sliced bread or the worst thing since un-sliced bread I decided to be conservative and opted for a first gen watch before dropping too much cash on the "newest-greatest". I'm not going to add to the already gigantic pile of Wear reviews, suffice to say I'm satisfied with it for what it is and what I paid for it.
But that's not the point of this post. 90% of the reason I bought the watch wasn't for what it did, but rather what can I make it do??? So I got it, rooted it, and started sideloading apps (xda). What I ended up with was an android smartwatch that could also:
Play a movie (QQPlayer + ES File Explorer + Bluetooth Headset)
Run an NES Emulator (NES-FC Lite + Bluetooth controller)
Open my garage door (V1_Bluetooth_Arduino app + my bluetooth/arduino garage door setup)
None of these were really way out there as far as plausibility so I continued my hunt to push the limits of what this thing can do.
The one place I feel Android Wear falls short is the 'control' aspect of things. It is a fantastic little devices for providing you with information, but at the end of the day I should be able to tap the thing on my wrist to control my every day life.......
The closest thing I could find right now is the IFTTT integration. Bravo in general to this website and moreso for making it compatible with wear. They get it. Tap a button to cause an action somewhere in the real or digital world.
So after playing around with existing recipes (https://ifttt.com/android_wear) I remembered a post I saw a while ago about controlling your computer with IFTTT and Dropbox vis SMS.
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-...-text-message/
The premise is exactly the same except instead of using SMS as the trigger, you'll use android wear as a trigger.

[Q] No Google Now, any point in getting this watch? topic
Hi All
I like in a Country that doesn't have Google Now, Location services etc enabled. Is there any point in me getting this watch? Will it work without Google Now? Obviously, it won't provide contextually aware notifications, but everything else should function fine right?
Thanks, Bob

Which watch will you be getting and why topic
Alright. Lots of Android Wear ( watches ) available these days..
Which one do you plan on getting and why?
I've been eyeing the LG G Watch R because it looks amazing but then also been eyeing the Sony Smart watch 3 because of its ruggedness and functionality as a fitness device
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app

Notification on watch when disconnected from phone topic
I've used Tasker to alert and lock my phone when my Moto360 is not connected, and unlock it when it is. What I also want to do is display a message and vibrate on the watch when the connection to the phone is lost. I know there's an app to do this, and I'll go that route as a last resort if I have to. I have a GS4 so no Trusted Devices option like on some of the Motorola phones. Is what I want possible with Tasker or something similar?
Thanks,
Rich

I made a script that roots and updates your watch to 5.0.1 in a click. topic
This version is Mac only :( sorry, will update for PC this week.
Directions:
1.) Download from https://www.dropbox.com/s/4zd9rz3akc...lipop.zip?dl=0[1][1] to your desktop. (file size 124 mb), and extract it the zip.
2.) Open up terminal, and type navigate to the file via cd/Desktop/lollipop .That code only works if the extracted file is actually called lollipop and is in your desktop.
3.) Type sh runMe.sh into the terminal and just follow on screen instructions.
Short version of what it does: Used adb to unlock bootloader, Roots it, Copies over 5.0.1, Writes to cache, and reboots. Then optional install of TWRP recovery.
This code isn't specific to the G Watch, to make it work for your phone, just add two files...
Replace:
update.zip with your factory image of lolipop
LGGW-rootboot.img with temporary boot image for your device to give it root, can find this on forums like XDA TWRP (optional) custom recovery
Be sure to keep the file names the same, as that is what the script looks for! I'm too lazy now, but only 2 things need to be done to make it work for PC...
1.) Get the adb drivers and fastboot, and put it in the lollipop folder, make sure you keep the names the same as the ones in there now.
2.) On the script called runMe and called, everywhere it says ./fastboot or ./adb-mac, get rid of the ./ part, so it would just say fastboot or adbmac

[Q] Watch language topic
Hi!
I was wondering if it is possible to change the language of the watch once a language has already been set in the step-by-step configuration process that it's done when the watch is first turned on.
Also, is it possible to have the watch in a different language from the one of the phone? I have set Spanish as my watch language but it has automatically been changed to English after the syncing process with my phone, as the latter is in English.
Thanks in advance!

"Watch Storage" and "Watch Battery" Not Working? topic
Just updated to Android Wear 5.0.1. When I try to use the "Watch storage" and "Watch battery" options in the Wear app, nothing happens. I tried clearing the Wear app data and uninstall-reinstall, factory-reset the watch and set it up all over again, nada. Disabled Xposed, rebooted, tried again, nada. Phone is T-Mobile Note 4 with latest stock rooted ROM. Anyone else experiencing this?
How to watch 3D Movies on Gear VR topic
Step 1 - Create a folder called 3D under Oculus / Movies / My Videos /
[it'll look like this Oculus / Movies / My Videos / 3D]
Step 2 - Put your 3D movie in that new folder.
Step 3 - Get into Oculus Cinema and go to my videos. It'll be labled 3D on the top corner and the video will merge the two views when you watch it.
PS - I moved the whole Oculus folder from the gear vr sd card to my previous sd card. And I still don't know how to watch youtube other than downloading it from youtube and placing it in the 3D folder.
Have fun!

Can we modify the smartwatch to include new sensors? We want to add a Blood Pressure sensor(optical)?
