[Q] Audio drop outs (root) topic

This is driving me insane. Ever since I rooted my Note 3 I get audio drop outs . I had the same issue when I rooted my Note 2. I'm still stock just rooted.

Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. I would like to stay rooted but if I can't resolve the audio drop outing every few minutes I'm going to have to revert back....

Please help!

Audio issues with Blu-ray files topic

Hello, every time I play blue ray files I cannot hear sound, even those files playing good on vlc what can I do?

Desktop Dock Audio and ROMs? topic

So one of my Christmas Gifts this year was the desktop dock, I get it home and plug in my Tab 2 7" to find I can't get audio out thru the lineout on the dock when running one of the versions of Dhollmen ROM, for some reason the dock audio setting was greyed out, so I switched back to Romswell V1.1 ICS because I had the zip for it on the tablet and it was based off the stock ROM. On Romswell the audio out thru the dock is working perfectly, so my question is for anyone out there that has a p311x tablet and the desktop dock that has tried other ROMs, which ROM's work with audio out thru the dock? This would save me a lot of bandwidth and time flashing different ROMs to try to find a more updated ROM that still has functioning audio out thru dock. Any help is greatly appreciated.

[Q] Can't get Audio thru headset after HTC One M8 conversion to Lollipop 5.0.1 topic

So I've did a factory reset and start flashing the "Stock Google Play Edition Rom LXR22C.H5" rom again.

Since I'm Rooted, this is the one I've flash: RUU-HTC_One_M8_GPE_5.0.1-3.11.1700.5_rooted

I've followed the instruction on #2031. Everything else work.... again only plugging in the headset into the jack, does switch music from speakers to headset.

As mentioned before I've upgrade my Stock AT&T HTC One (M8) to GPE 4.4.2 and automatically received all the updates OTA to get to 4.4.4 (Audio was working thru headset and/or speakers with no problems)

The only problem with 4.4.4 is that you don't have access to SD storage. (though I found a patch to update in the system, but haven't tried it)

I like the speed, simplicity of 5.0.1. That is why I keep on trying.

Also I tried changing the Kernel - using skydragon kernel (still same problem with audio). But when I used the kernel for 4.4.4 of GPE, the booting hung at HTC logo before it showed the dead android.

So I'm lost for option other than using an app to manual switch to headset from speaker....(bummer)

Anyway new ideas to proceed are appreciated.

Power button audio lag topic

When I turn off the screen the audio click doesn't happen until the screen goes black. On my roommates Nexus 5 with Lollipop the clicks as soon as he hits the power button.

FYI, the audio click happens right away when unlocking.

i gave my father my old HTC ONE X rooted with the ARHD Rom. But the volume during calls is pretty low. It is increased on max level.
Is there any Audio Call booster or something like that?

Hangouts VOIP Audio is Broken -- Can We Figure Out Why, and Fix It? topic

I'm posting this because or seems like there's a lot of chatter about this issue but for some reason it doesn't seen like a damned thing had been done about it, and that's not cool in my book. And yes, I'm cross-posting this between Android Development and Original Android Development, because it effects both groups.]

As you may (or may not know) using Hangouts VOIP calls is BORKED, and it has been for several days. This seems to affect all downstream CM12 ROMs, at least for the LG G3 D851.

Take a look at that logcat... It Is a MESS. Why are cameras being called ajillionty times for making a VOIP call? Why is there no path to the necessary VOIP_MIC component? When you realize that all 8000+ lines of this comprise *only a few seconds* just how...odd...things really are.

It is my understanding that this began after a pile of CM12 commits several days ago, but I'm not certain exactly when. I seem to remember someone is $droyd$'s Illusion ROM thread had the exact date(s).

Surely amongst all the developer brainpower we have amassed here we can figure this out...

So: any ideas?

How to fix the current no audio during calls issue topic

Ive seen a lot of workarounds for this, but this is the only one that seems to work universally without breaking anything else. I also haven't seen it mentioned here yet (surprisingly). Requires root.

Go to play store and install Disable Service

Launch it and locate the listing for Google Play Services

Disable checkinservice ONLY

Reboot

What to do with bootanimation.zip file :silly: -----
Step 1:- Root your device (Just google it)
Step 2:- Connect your device with pc in USB debugging mode.
Step 3:- Open cmd in ADB folder and type commmand ----
adb remount
Step 4:- Now copy bootanimation.zip file in ADB folder .
Step 4:- Now type command :-
adb push bootanimation /system/media/
Step 5:- Now Reboot Your Device and U get that Animation ;)

[Q] Fire tv and hdmi ARC - Audio Return topic

Hi,
I'm trying to setup amazon fire tv to play music without tv on. This is my current setup:
Tv -- hdmi --> fire tv -- optical audio --> soundbar

Problem I have is that there is no sound from tv. hdmi from tv to fire tv is connected through arc channel.

Does anyone has similar setup that works?

[MOD] Possible compatible audio mod topic

Okay so I came from the HTC M7 and our resident super hero zeroinfinity made an amazing sound mod for the phone (now known as ERA). I'd been trying to replicate some of the stuff myself and got some progress but decided to nandroid and try installing ERA on this phone. I think it was a success! Give it a try (nandroid just in case) and let me know what you think!

Disclaimer: I didnt ask zeroinfinity about this whatsoever. Neither of us are responsible for anything haha. Please give him props and donations on all his hard work!

Now, how did I do it?

1. Download newest version here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2211163
2. In recovery (after nandroid) install the zip and in aroma choose m8/e8 variants then AOSP.
3. Restart and enjoy!

Recording Audio Internally topic

I wonder that nobody else asked this, at least i couldn't find something helpful on Google. Just prove me wrong if i am.

Is it possible to record audio, which is going through soundcard ? Mic quality is poor and i just want to record a part of a song, for instant buttons :D

I just verified...mini 2 has usb audio out. Works like a charm with fiio e 18 & e17 alpen usb dac/amp!

Video recording without audio, why? topic

Something very strange happened today.

I was home, waiting to go to a show. Video recorder was setup at 640 x 480 to save memory space, I tested recording and everything was OK, recording both video and audio as expected.

Went to the show, did a number of recordings, ranging from 12 to 300+ megabytes.
Came back home, no recording had audio! Plain video, no sound.

Tried again home to record a new video, and again everything was regular, with proper sound.
So, I've lost some amazing music, and can't understand why.

Do you have any hint? What happened to my note 4?
