[Q] Nexus 6 not detecting BT headset topic

My Nexus 6 is not detecting Plantronics bluetooth headset. The current OS version is 5.0.1.

But it detects other devices like mobile, PC, etc.

Can someone help me out. Thanks in advance.

So I've did a factory reset and start flashing the "Stock Google Play Edition Rom LXR22C.H5" rom again.

Since I'm Rooted, this is the one I've flash: RUU-HTC_One_M8_GPE_5.0.1-3.11.1700.5_rooted

I've followed the instruction on #2031. Everything else work.... again only plugging in the headset into the jack, does switch music from speakers to headset.

As mentioned before I've upgrade my Stock AT&T HTC One (M8) to GPE 4.4.2 and automatically received all the updates OTA to get to 4.4.4 (Audio was working thru headset and/or speakers with no problems)

The only problem with 4.4.4 is that you don't have access to SD storage. (though I found a patch to update in the system, but haven't tried it)

I like the speed, simplicity of 5.0.1. That is why I keep on trying.

Also I tried changing the Kernel - using skydragon kernel (still same problem with audio). But when I used the kernel for 4.4.4 of GPE, the booting hung at HTC logo before it showed the dead android.

So I'm lost for option other than using an app to manual switch to headset from speaker....(bummer)

Anyway new ideas to proceed are appreciated.

How to setup device as a bluetooth headset? topic

Let us suppose we have a two devices with Android:

Custom android device with microphone, speaker, bluetooth and without GSM part.

Android smartphone (like a Nexus 5 or SGS4).

We need to make calls programmatically from first device through second via Bluetooth. What we are need to do to implementing it? Setup first device as headset? Or something else?

Quick question, does anybody know how can I turn off phone volume while keeping the sound on the headset? For example, get the notifications and ringtone on the headset only while the phone is silent? I was able to easily do this with the Note 3... but for some reason I am unable to do it with the Note 4... Any ideas? Am I missing something? Thanks!

[Q] Headset issue Lenovo A536 topic

I am using Lenovo A536 since past one month. I am facing a strange problem. When I connect my headset shows as disconnected for a brief moment and reconnects itself. Due to this whenever I'm playing music or videos, they stop. It has been bugging :( me too much. I had contacted the lenovo service centre, where a factory reset was done, the motherboard was changed and I even got a replacement headset. However the same problem exists. Can anyone help me?

i found a bug in optimusg3 rom 1.4.1
i tested all 3 devices using a wired headset, and the caller does not hear anything from me, but i can hear the caller clearly, i think this is a bug, if someone can can help me into this. thanks.

[Q] BT headset topic

Hi,

I have a bt headset connected to the gear.

When using remote (eg wifi / 3g) calls forward and i can answer with the headset.

When connected with BT the call comes through the watch and not the headset.

Anyone have thoughts ideas or solutions other than connect the headset to the phone direct as this would then mean i would have to reconnect to the watch when needed. Seems a flaw in the system

[Q] Losing phone microphone when using headset and Bluetooth topic

I lose my microphone when I plug my headset in while using the phone with the CM-11-20141112-SNAPSH update. I also lose the microphone using Bluetooth when receiving a call. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Notifications through bluetooth headset topic

When using my bluetooth headset with my HTC One M8 none of the email or sms notifications come through the headset. I was looking for a setting for it and didn't come across anything. Is there a fix for this ? or is it a feature HTC left out ?
