Need some help with Seandroid topic

Did the Chainfire through Odin and it wont allow me to reboot the phone. Its stuck on the GS5 page. Is there another file I can run. Says Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing. I tried a different version of Odin. Not sure on how to get it to run all the way through the process. Still on 4.4.2

Xmas gift love it - need some suggestions topic

So my GF got me the 9 for my xmas gift (I got her an apple store card to outright buy the new 6, opposites and all)

Anyway I am having trouble finding a decent affordable case and glass protector for it. Im all over amazon with no luck. All the case seem like garbage and the reviews of the screen protectors say they arent real tempered glass and break easily.

Anyone bought a case they like yet. She got me a gift card to amazon with it to buy a case and I hate using my devices (all nexus) without cases on them. Wish spigen made a 9 case.

Need Some Help Regarding Droid X2 and CM10 Alpha 3 4.1.2... topic

Yeah, hey guys! I've been doing research on how to update the software on my Droid X2. But it seems too complicated and I don't want to do the wrong thing. The Android has 2.3.5 on it so I know I have to SBF to 2.3.4 but I don't know how to do that. So can anybody direct me to how do this. And then on how to actually get the CM10 Alpha 3 4.1.2!:)

[Q] Need some help returning back to stock before I get scammd topic

My fiancee dropped her phone, and we paid someone to replace the screen. It's a new screen but touch isn't working properly. I can unlock the phone and then nothing else. They're saying that it's a software issue due to the ROM I'm using. Actually, they're saying that I have "two conflicting softwares on the phone" and that it's the reason the screen isn't working. I don't know if that's true or not, but I really need to get back to stock.

I'm using an AT&T Samsung Galaxy SIII but I don't know which "revert to stock" guide I should follow. I don't know what information I need to know beforehand and what I need to get to ensure I do this properly. Please help me do this the total proper way so they have nothing they can say when it comes to potentially screwing me out of my money.

Bought a Harmony Hub to control my FireTV, but I'm hitting some issues. Anyone else? topic

I bought the Harmony Hub in order to have a single-remote solution for my home theater setup. The Harmony Hub can control things via Bluetooth, which is why it can control the FireTV even though it's missing an infreared port.

So I set up a Watch TV activity that powers on my TV and my receiver, and then controls the FireTV with the playback and directional buttons. Everything works great until I turn the activity off. and then back on. When everything powers back on, the remote has lost its ability to control the FireTV. it can still control the TV and receiver, however.

To fix it, I have to open up the Harmony smartphone app, issue a single command to the FireTV (which forces some sort of re-pairing) and then the remote works great again.

Does anyone else have this issue?

My Firetv is rooted, btw, so if any possible solutions require root I can do that.

[Bug report] HW and HW+ decoder lags on some videos topic

1. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 wifi (SM-T520)
2. Android version: Kitkat 4.4.4
3. Official CyanogenMod 11 nightly 11-20141209
4. When I play some videos and using HW and HW+ decoder, I experience video is out of sync. It looks like there's frame dropping. Problem also exists on my Xperia V with latest CM. I use on both devices custom codecs from this forum. While using SW decoder everything is fine.

Some informations about lollipop, ART, and de-odexing topic

Hi, I'm a Korean Developer.
Recently Samsung has released android 5.0 lollipop for our devices.
But most of you may be ambarrased because the lollipop upgrade changed lots of things in system.
So I researched few days about it, and I've got several informations.
All of what I explain here is the result of my experiments.

In developers discussing forum, famous developers were discussing about "How we can mod lollipop system files".
Thanks to qwerty123258, Softdx's lollipop de-odexing tool has been known to here. But the problem is that how to re-odex the de-odexed apps,frameworks.
As our common sense, ART doesn't support de-odexed apks,jars so we have to re-odex them. But many of you may think we can't re-odex animore with the way we have used.
I agreed it at first.
So I've heard that de-odexed SecSettings,SystemUI apk with Softdx's tool don't work and have FCs. Thinking like this, we can think there is no solution. Especially, lots of custom ROM developers cannot make ROM without smali modding.





BTW, I saw that mods for nexus devices' lollipop are mostly de-odexed. But there is no problem.
Hold on, the ART definitely doesn't support de-odexed mods, but why mods for nexus doesn't have matter? You may think this doesn't make sense.
So I had doubt to this 'common thinks'.
And one day, I was putting Galaxy Note3's apps into my system that worked on KK.
FlashAnnotate app had FC, and Action memo popup also had FC. But the main app and widget of Action memo worked well.
Moreover, SuperSU that I used when rooting my S5 was also de-odexed app.
Isn't it strange to say "ART doesn't support de-odexed"? So I thought that Google didn't fully removed dalvik, they just inactivated it.

So I replaced the FlashAnnotate app with the one for Note4, and it worked well.
Then I put Note4's apps like S Note, Weather Widget, etc. As I expected, all of them worked with no FC!
Thus, it is wrong to say that the ART doesn't support de-odexed. It is the problem of that app.
What problem?
I asked to one of my friend, a Note3 mod-developer. He said that stock Note3 doesn't support ART natively.
This means that the developers of Note3's stock apps didn't care ART.
It has the same principle with the issue that the old version of stock apps like S health have FC on Galaxy S5 lollipop.
The structure of app's source code have to match with ART's structure.

In short, de-odexing have no relation with ART. FC issue is the compatibility issue of that app.
So the apps of after-KK-released-devices can be worked whether it is de-odexed or not.
Is this mean apps with FC cannot be used on lollipop? No. We can modify it to match with ART's structure. I mean, we can port it as API21(lollipop).




Let me pass to the other subject.
Most of you may think that re-odexing as the way we used, extracting dalvik-cache in the phone cannot be used and we must convert it as oat.
But, I re-odexed the main app of Action memo,what worked well even it was de-odexed, as the way we used.
It also works well while it is re-odexed.
Therefore, we can re-odex apps with the way we used.

BTW, as mentioned before, stock Settings and SysUI don't work when they're de-odexed and re-odexed.
It doesn't make sense according to the theories before. Then, what's the problem?
There is one that most of you may overlooked.
When you're de-odexing with Softdx's tool, generally most of you may think converting oat to dex is important and baksmaling/smaling process must be worked well.
But the problem was in baksmaling/smaling process.
When I was de-odexing stock settings app with Softdx's tool,

There were errors on smaling process. But I've never modded any smali of it.
When I looked the codes that made errors, not recognizing the '+'s on the pswitch code.
(look at the attached 2.png because I cannot insert image)
like this.
Many smali modders may know that there was no '+' on pswitch code when modding smali of KK or lower versions.
But after I remove all that '+', it can be compiled well but it has FC. Why? literally "It was modded".
It is reasonable to have FC because it was "modded", not compiled without modifications.
We can think of these two cases:

1. The structure of app's source code was entirely changed, so the last (bak)smali tool cannot recognize changed codes.

2. The structure of app's dex was entirely changed, so vanished parts are made when baksmaling with last tool.

We can conclude with these two cases.
After the release of (bak)smali tool that can completely baksmali/smali, we can do modifications.
I've heard that the developer of apktool is going to release new version for lollipop. So we have to wait a little bit.
Although we cannot do smali modding yet, we can put apks in system.
Why don't you put several apps in system and confirm what works or not?

Help with some phone troubles topic

Hey guys,

On occasion my phone will just shut off at like 30-45% or lower when doing regular tasks (messaging, email etc). Then when I start it up its at 0-4% or won't start at all.

When I plug it in and start it back up it will be at like 40% or around where it was when it died.

I don't know what's causing this and need some help. Is it a third party app? Any known ones that might cause this? Or what could it be?

It only started when i upgraded to lollipop i am running cataclysm lollipop with elemental kernel. It also did this on stock lollipop.

Any help is appreciated.

[Q] Need some practical ROM advice topic

So I have had a rooted 1st gen Fire for a while now. Mostly I've just used OtterX builds.

I love the ability to use the more advanced Android platform but to be blunt? This is unfathomably slow. Not only does it take forever to open even the Twitter app, the persistent power drain is obnoxious.

Are there any low-CPU use ROMs out there? Should I just go back to stock and then add Gapps to that? Could use some advice.

Moto voice not sending some commands under locked screen on lollipop topic

Hi, i just want to know from you that are using lollipop already ( mine is .17) if you are with this weird problem.
Some commands under locked screen like l "send whatsapp" or " post facebook" are not working for me. Others work perfectly like "take selfie or photo", " call someone" etc.
I dont have password, pin or any APP that could cause it.
I tried full wipe, reinstall only whatsapp for testing but it stay the same.

Can i get some help here? Some feedback...
