Need Some Help Regarding Droid X2 and CM10 Alpha 3 4.1.2... topic

Yeah, hey guys! I've been doing research on how to update the software on my Droid X2. But it seems too complicated and I don't want to do the wrong thing. The Android has 2.3.5 on it so I know I have to SBF to 2.3.4 but I don't know how to do that. So can anybody direct me to how do this. And then on how to actually get the CM10 Alpha 3 4.1.2!:)

I am new opo user and I have shifted from Xperia
I want to know if I root will I lose any features like in Sony or any drm or any matter
If I root will I get future ota updates?
