Ordered a refurb 2012 N7, any help with a custom rom? topic

So as saidm i have ordered a N7 2012, now should i root and flash a custom rom from the start? I want a pretty fluid experience and i found this rom:

Has anyone tried that? any thoughts? Or should i just use stock, any help is appreciated :)
