[Q] How to use kdz firmware updater to upgrade firmware topic

i have an LG Optimus G PRO F240L korean phone . I want to upgrade its firmware from STOCK 4.1.2 to STOCK kitkat 4.4 using Kdz firmware updater (lg pc suite takes foreever to download upgrade) , but there are many methods to do so , can somebody point me in the right direction to detailed steps or just tell me here . plz i need help .
I have my F240L20g_00.kdz file (1.5 gb).

I'm wondering what all I need to do to upgrade my FLO to a custom lollipop ROM. I've flashed a newer boot loader from one of the pure asop lollipop threads already.

Do I need to do anything else before I just do a full wipe of everything then flash it via TWRP?

I was unsure to do it or not.
What do you suggest? I've read FAQ n. 24 but still no answer to my question.

Verizon upgrade non-smartphone and cancelation topic

Alright, so I need some pretty quick advice on this topic.
I feel like I can recall using a family members upgrade for my last phone upgrade.
When the phone arrived, I feel like the other person just had to cancel it or something and I could use the new phone.

But my real question is, there is a non-smartphone user on my family plan. Can they upgrade their phone, getting a new contract, take the discounted smartphone for myself and retract the upgraded contract to the previous? I know I could just throw the sim card in the new phone and be fine, it's just the contract for the person using the line without data retaining their contract.

Hi , I used LiveSuit to flash official JXD rom (chosed option to full wipe and then flash) , but it stock at 3% and then nothing happend after several minutes.
now tablet is dead, only LED turns on when connected to charger or usb. When i hold Menu or Power button and connect USB, pc says unrecognized device. but it seems Livesuit still can detect device connected, it can flash again but always stocks at 3% !
Is it hard bricked ? does it need JTAG and sth like that to get back to life? is there any software way to revive it, for example flashing MaPan MX913 instead?

I was in the car and I needed to hurry up, and when I unlocked my screen a window popped up, having the title "Software Upgrade" and when I read it, it said "Your software needs to be upgraded in 30 days. Upgrade it now or after 30 days has passed" and I had the choice of picking Cancel or Upgrade, but as I was hurrying up, I chose "Cancel" and now I don't know if it was an application that had to be upgraded or my phone's system??? The apps I am using are WhatsApp and Viber, did the message come from one of them? I can't believe now that I canceled it..

VZW LG G2 With Rooted JB - Want To Upgrade to KK topic

Hi All - I am still running my LG G2 with stock rooted Jelly Bean with the LG/VZW 12B software. I only wanted to root so I could get the tether app running and freeze bloat and I have been very please with my phone and never had a reason to upgrade. However, after seeing a few enhancements from KitKat, I now want to upgrade. I've had the OTA software frozen by titanium backup but recently unfroze everything and then my phone downloaded the OTA 26A update - BUT I HAVE NOT INSTALLED IT YET. However, I've been reading about a lot of issues with this so now I'm second guessing my decision.

Is there any way to keep my root from 12B -> 26A???

Should I upgrade to 24A first? I read somewhere that rooting 24A and then upgraeing to 26A keeps root.

Is there a way to downgrade back to 12B if I'm unsatisfied by the results? I just want to make sure after the upgrade that I can still use wireless tether and still have a flawless phone.

Can't upgrade HiSuite to 1.8.10.2806 topic

Hello

Been fighting this problem for days now. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling no change.
PC runs 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
Current HiSuite version installed is 1.8.10.2706
It keeps telling there is a newer version of HiSuite - 1.8.10.2806
When i agree to download it, it downloads it, runs and when installation is complete version stays the same - 1.8.10.2706
Judging by the file name it downloads, it should be right version but ... i am at loss what to do.
On HuaWei site latest version download is 1.8.10.26.06
Of course i downloaded it as well - it also wants to upgrade to 28.06, with the same results.

Anyone of you have ran into this issue?

Two different 64gb SD cards not working after 5.0 upgrade topic

I had a SanDisk 64gb card that I was using with KitKat that stopped working after upgrading to Lollipop. I thought that maybe that issue was caused by not unmounting the card before the upgrade.

I then purchased a PNY 64gb card from Amazon and the behavior is the same, the OS will not recognize the card so I can't mount it. I do have a 32gb card that works fine. Anyone seeing this problem with their G Pad?

[Q] Video problems after firmware upgrade topic

Hi all, I've got an HTC one M7 and recently I've decided to update its firmware to : 6.09.401.11 , and after that flashed HTC Android revo 83.1 . Everything was ok until I've tried to record a video with the sock camera app, the video start recording as usual, but then after stop recording, I saw the video was saved with pretty bad colors, like purple , green and magenta... , then i've downloaded and tried Google camera app , tried recording again and everything was ok. So I guess there is a problem with the stock camera app...

Hi all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI GT-P7510, with 3.2 android. I want to upgrade it's android to android 4.0.4 (not accessible in my country) or to a good stable rom.

I tried for several days several 3 different guides, however all of them ask me to download some files, and in all of them the links are broken. I tried to find the files elsewhere however that didn't work either.
Can someone please send me a link to a complete working guide with all the needed files?

On my One Plus running 5.0 I have trusted pair enabled but even if my watch is connected I have to enter the pin. Any suggestions? I did pair/unpair the watch but did not help.

New Verizon upgrade decision help topic

So I'm due for an upgrade on our company verizon plan soon. I'm really struggling on what to settle on.

I've been a big Samsung fan for my last 4 phones, Captivate, Vibrant, GS2, GS3, etc. but I've wanted to see if the grass is greener on any other top brands like LG and motorola.

Here's what I've been looking at. LG G3, S5, Droid Turbo, Note 4.

Should I be looking at some other diamond in the rough? Should I hold out for a newer phone soon to be released?

Root and developer support is important but not crucial. My work related apps are sometimes broken on root and custom ROM's.
