i updated to android l 5.0.1 and cant get fastboot to start topic

Hello i dont know if this is the right place for the threat.

i just updated my nexus 4 and im not getting in the fastboot method. i updated al the drivers and it keeps asking me for mtp drivers.
im using windows xp and wugfresh method. if done a lot of rooting but never been stuck....I need my rooted device.

Can anyone help me true this.

Stuck in Recovery & can't start any ROM topic

Hi!

I just HTCdev unlocked the bootloader and rooted the HTC Desire HD and everything was fine. I was in the stock ROM rooted, so I flashed the recovery and then I tried to install some ROMs and everything failed, I was stucked in the HTC loading screen...

I tried to flash several ROMs but the result was always the same: stuck in the loading screen. I did a full wipe everytime of course, but it didn´t solve anything.

At the end I tried to flash this:

And it worked!

But if I tried to flash another ROM like SlimBean but again, stucked...

[Q] My new nexus won't start correctly topic

Hello, I'm pretty much new to the android scene therefore excuse me for my stupidness on this field :(
I unlocked my nexus 6, then I rooted it and and then I flashed a custom rom (Euphoria 1.0) with WugFresh's Tool.
Yesterday I tried installing adaway and gave it full root permissions, it asked me to reboot and I did so.
After rebooting I realized that I can't unlock my phone nor do anything else except using the pull down notification bar and having a back button, no middle button nor right button.. The screen just remains black. I tried rebooting in recovery mode but nothing changes.
What do I've to do now?
The device doesn't show up as MTP.
When I enter TWRP now it asks me for a password??
I've a Nandroid backup saved on my HDD and I still have the custom rom ZIP saved as well.

Hello,
my issue is that in my E988 proximity sensor isn't work correctly, so I decided to disable it. First I use Xposed Module 'Disable Proximity'. It's works, but the proximity sensor consume the power.
Next I add
"gsm.proximity.enable=false"
into "build.prop" by copy that file to my computer, add this by Word and overwrite in phone (not with adb).
and reboot the phone.
Now it's only flashing led and the system doesn't start.
Unfotunately I don't have CWM or TWRP (in the past I've been trying to install it, but i have some problems and forgot about this).
When I press Vol Down+Power phone ask to factory hard reset and I try it, but it stops with error "Secure boot Error! Cause: boot certification verify".
What can I do?? Any Solution how to repeir it ??

Optimus G E975 won't start with red flashing led topic

Hi all, I managed to brick my Optimus G E975 (international version) - the inside of the phone shows E975K.

I have it running the stock ROM for over a year (rooted) and lately I am looking into flashing with custom ROM (KitKat). I have not even flash the phone, I just installed ROM Manager app (pro) and used it to boot to recovery. It won't boot to recover, so I use ROM Manager app to install TWRP (to replace clockmodwork). I booted to recovery and I got the fastboot but could not do anything so I rebooted to normal and install clockmodwork again. There was an option to Flash clockmodwork which I think I chose and I assumed that was installing clockmodwork. But when I booted to recovery, my phone never turned on anymore.

While I got my phone working, using ROM Manager I tried few times to make a back up of the current ROM but it was never succeeded. The phone just rebooted normally.

I opened my phone and disconnect the battery as some people suggested. But I still can't turn on the phone. I got flashing red led when I press the power button (with or without the vol up/down).

Please help. I hope I can unbrick my phone as the warranty is over.

This is my first time posting here, so please excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong place..
I had an LG Splendor (US730), android version 4.0.4, which I believe is ice cream sandwich. I had this through US Cellular, but after moving on to Verizon and getting an HTC, I gave this phone to my granddaughter. She uses it on WiFi to play games and stuff, there is no cell service connected to it. She is running into the problem now of not being able download games, etc. that she wants because the android version is too old.

I asked LG if there was an update from them that could get this phone to hopefully kitkat so it would be usable for at least awhile longer and they said no, it can only go to ice cream sandwich. She is only 11, my son and I don't want her to have a "real" phone yet.

So, I have been researching rooting and I think if I could figure this out, I probably could do it. I am fairly computer savvy, but not phone savvy. Everywhere I read, leads me to a download in the forums here from Bin4ry, but this specific phone is not listed in the compatible devices for this. I have read in other forums of a few people who tried it and it didn't work, so I am asking you experts here, is there somewhere I can find a way to root this phone so that we can upgrade the android version?

I am somewhat confused as to all the lingo involved in rooting, I understand the basic theory, but roms, etc. , I still haven't quite figured that stuff out. But if I did know I could fix this phone, I can learn it, I just want to be able to do it right. The last thing in the world I want to do is end up ruining her phone because she loves it.

I have hit a couple websites with step by step instructions for this rooting this exact phone, but I don't even know if I can trust random website instructions. So, because you guys seem to be the "go to" place for help I am asking here for help.

[Q] Android Tablet doesn't Start topic

I am using Lenovo A1000 tablet.I installed the iFonts app and applied a font.I just then restarted the tab as it asked to.From then on the tablet is not working.When i switch on the tablet it Just vibrates.Nothing else happens. Not even a logo.I tried to flash the stock rom onto tablet using SP Flash.The tool recognizes my tablet but did not do any process.I waited for half-an hour.But no luck.Is there a way i can get it work?Please help me

[Q] Start navigation only when phone display is turned on? topic

Hi there,
I got the G Watch yesterday.

When say "OK Google - How do I get home" while phone (Nexus 5) screen is turned on, it starts navigation smoothly.
But when the phone is in my pocket, displayis usually turned on. When now saying "OK Google - How do I get home" the watch waits some time and then displays the message "Check your phone".

Actually I would like to start navigation without having to take my phone off my pocket. Is it possible to get this done?

[Q] Moving files on start up topic

OK I admit this is somewhat of a n00b question, to a person who knows how Droids works with storage anyway.

The original issue I have is I changed from a phone with no internal memory to one with internal + micro SD. Without too much hacking/modding/customization outside of built in settings or simple file path edits, I want to keep as much of my stuff on the micro SD rather than internal mem incase the phone goes kaput suddenly (like my ol' Droid 3). Unfortunately a few apps here and there point to the internal "sdcard" and can not be changed to the external.

In the end, I was quite happy to simply have a little script that ran on start up (i.e. regularly enough) that moved files from particular folders from to the external sd card. By no means is it the most fancy solution but initially something I could script up myself and be simplistic in the sense that it was just simple file operations and used existing stuff (e.g. no ext apps).

However it's not working and from my logging of things it looks like because at the time userinit.sh runs not all storage has yet been mounted (file/folder not found)?

[Q] Phone won't start, vibrates 3 times. topic

Hi. I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I took the phone in the shower with me (since it's advertised as water-resistant) and while I was in there it vibrated 3 times and shut itself down. Now whenever I try to turn it on it shows me a red LED light then vibrates 3 times as well. Same thing happens when I try to put it in fastboot mode or when I try to charge it.

Any ideas?
