Hii I bought the Nexus 5 3-4 days back. It came with 4.4.3 and I was able to update it to 4.4.4. Can't seem to get the lollipop update. What am I missing? My friends are using lollipop on their Nexus 5. I thought the update was pushed weeks ago. How long do I have to wait? :(

Not hearing anything when calling or receiving a call HTC ONE M7 topic
I have no idea what is happening here but if I restart my phone few times it works. I even did a factory reset with no luck. I have had the phone for nearly two years and this is the first time this has happened so not sure it it is because I dropped it few weeks back or of a software update or a hardware issue.
Has anyone experienced something similar to this?

Nexus 5 on Sprint is no longer sending or receiving SMS topic
My phone has suddenly decided to no longer send or receive sms at all on Sprint. I've been running Sabermodded SlimKat for months with no issues whatsoever and just the other day SMS suddenly stopped. It says the text sends in any messaging app I use but it never actually seems to send. If I try to text myself to test it also I get no messages back when though it says they all send. The weird thing is MMS is working fine, I can send myself pictures and any one of my contacts, but I do not see their SMS messages or my own, none are getting through. I tried wiping and flashing over to 5.0 (Cataclysm) instead and I still cannot send sms. I've tried updating my PRL and Profile many times, Reflashing a flashable Sprint APN zip, manually setting APN in hangouts, messenger, textra, qksms etc. I've tried flashing different radios on 4.4.4 (before I flashed 5.0 now I just have the final L preview radio) and I have even tried removing the sim card and rebooting before placing it back in. Has anyone encountered this issue before? I am at a loss.
[Q] Receiving SMS message with stock Nexus 7 topic
It seems this should not work, but after I subscribed to a data plan for my 2013 Nexus 7 (Android 4.4.4), I was able to receive SMS messages.
It first shows up in the top left status bar, as an envelope icon, with the first part of the message attached, then, if I expand the left drop-down menu and click on it, it brings up the full message, and the whole thing seems to be driven by the "Simple message receiver". Once I click on the "Done" button, it disappears forever.
I did not mod the device in any way (well, I did enable root). I did install Pinger and some other apps to be able to talk and text via Internet (Wifi only so far), but since I got my data plan, I can receive messages without problems (even two-step authorizations from Google which never went through on the other apps).
So, it seems the SMS capability is still there, and all those fancy workarounds that are being talked about around here are not really needed, or am I missing something?
The device was bought, new and unlocked in the Czech Republic, and is now being used in Canada on a pure data plan on Fido (fido.ca/web/content/monthly/ipad_plans).
