Apps from these sites. Safe? topic

I got no card for paid apps yet. But, I found crackapk.com and apkhere.com. I'm wonder if anyone knows if the apps from either site are safe?

[Q] Do any of these jaikbroken iOS tweaks have Android alternatives? topic

Hi! I'm missing some of the functionality I had with jailbroken iOS. I just figured I'd ask if there was any way to get any of these features on rooted Android. I've also provided a description for those not familiar with iOS.
  • Flex 2 - This is sort of like a high-level GUI for the Xposed framework. It allows you modify variables, override method return values, etc.

  • Phantom - Disables all of Snapchats security/privacy features. With Phantom, you can save Snapchat pictures/movies without the other person knowing.

  • Activator - This allows you to perform certain action on set triggers. For example, you can mute your phone if you hold the volume down button or open an app if you swipe left on the status bar.

  • GroovyLock - GroovyLock allows you to redesign your lockscreen using HTML, CSS, and JS.

  • Eclipse - I'm 99% this is impossible to replicate on Android (given that there's no required design standard), but I'll add it here anyway: Eclipse basically modifies the UI of most apps to give them a dark theme instead of the harsh white that iOS uses for everything. The nice thing about Eclipse is that you can use it with other color schemes too, allowing you to completely change the look of over half your applications without any difficulty.

[Q] Is Google's app and data backup+restoration better these days? topic

I have a Nexus 5, a Nexus 9, and a Nexus 10. My 5 and 10 have Cyanogenmod 11, and My Nexus 9 is rooted on stock firmware but I will be putting Cyanogenmod on it once a Lollipop release comes out for it.

In the past when I've tried using Google's backup and restoration feature, it basically tried to restore every app that I'd ever installed on an Android device, and I want to avoid that now. There still doesn't appear to be a way to manually delete old backup data from Google, so I wondered if I enable automatic backups for my N9 now and restore the backups when I switch it to Cyanogenmod, will it actually restore only the stuff I'd been syncing from my Nexus 9 (and most importantly NOT STUFF THAT I'VE ALREADY UNINSTALLED FROM THE N9), or will it try to restore crap from my Nexus 10 and my old Moto Xoom and whatever other devices I've backed up in the past?

Are these not assembled in in TX? topic

So I got my shipping notice this morning, says it's coming from LANTAU ISLAND, HK. Didn't Motorola or Google have this huge PR campaign about Motorola’s being assembled in TX or something like that?
